University of Durham Botanic Garden
Eighteen-acre garden set in mature woodland with exotic trees from America and the Himalayas. Prince Bishops’ Garden, tropical house, cactus house with butterflies and insects. Visitor centre with changing exhibitions, cafe and toilets.

Garden and Visitor Centre:
March to October daily 10am - 5pm,
November to February daily 11am - 4pm.
Closed between Christmas and New Year.
