Disabled parking bays available in all car parks. Free on-street parking
to Blue Badge Holders throughout the city except the Market Place. To

Durham Park and Ride
The Durham Park and Ride service offers free parking at any of the Belmont, Sniperley or Howlands sites and provides travel into the city centre for as little as £1.70 a day. Durham Park and Ride
Road User Charge
From Oct 2002, all drivers using Saddler Street, and Market Place between
10am & 4pm Mon-Sat will be charged £2 on exiting the controlled
area at a pay machine on an island on the carriageway, outside St Nicolas’s
church. The machine does not issue change. The correct amount must be
paid. Only residents and public transport vehicles will be exempt and
disabled persons only by prior arrangement with establishment to be visited. Saddler Street Road User Charge
Cathedral Bus
The Cathedral Bus Service links the Cathedral, Rail Station and Car &
Coach Parks. Buses run daily, every 20 minutes and provide easy access for wheelchair users and for parents with children
in buggies.
